Commemorate with us:

The concentration camp in Plaszow - located on the outskirts of Krakow. Initially, it was the camp for Poles, then became a destination for the Krakow Jews after the liquidation of the Krakow ghetto in March 1943. In 1944, it also became a transit camp for the Hungarian Jews directed to Auschwitz-Birkenau.

At the time of liquidation in March 1943, people able to work were transferred to the concentration camp in Plaszow. Both: the ghetto and the Plaszow camp were the guiding themes of the mive Schindler's List directed by Steven Spielberg.

Schindler's Factory - located a few hundred meters from the site of the Krakow ghetto. Pre-war factory after the outbreak of World War II was entrusted by Gemrnas to Oscar Schindler - a German entrepreneur who, over time, made a heroic act of saving about 1,000 Krakow Jews. After the war, he was awarded the Medal of the Righteous Among the Nations.

Commemoration tours & events!

For many years the commemoration of World War II in various forms took place in Poland. Commemoration varies in its forms: from thematic seminars through marches, meetings to multicultural educational conferences. Each of these forms has its own specifics; however, it requires adequate preparation and binding. But more importantly, the individual events of commemoration require a selection of appropriate mechanisms to adapt a particular form of communication and commemoration of the characters of historical events. This match is vital—to ensure that the form of commemoration corresponds with the characteristics of historical events. Poland has become a popular place to conduct seminars and educational programs on the history of World War II. Educational programs for young people from the United States, Great Britain, Norway, Sweden are very often organized precisely at the places where World War II left its worst marks. Effective education cannot be achieved in the comfort of the classroom only, so various institutions organize seminars, conferences, research, summer programs, which adopt diverse perspectives and approaches to World War II.
